Gary Alder, DDS, FAGD, DAAPM, is an experienced general and cosmetic dentist at Global Facial Aesthetics, serving patients in River Forest, Illinois.
Dr. Alder is a graduate of Northwestern University Dental School. He completed a post-graduate general dental residency at Rush University Medical Center (Rush). Subsequently, he practiced at Rush in private practice and was the director of the general dental residency program for several years. Dr. Alder has trained dozens of dentists in the management of medically compromised patients, cosmetic dental procedures, dental implants, bone grafting, dental sleep medicine, and a full range of specialized dental care.
He also participated in research regarding the management of patients receiving head and neck radiation and sleep disturbances. Dr. Alder has a vast background and experience in the management of advanced dental and medical problems and enjoys complex challenges.
Following the closure of the Rush dental residency program and his private practice at Rush, Dr. Alder relocated his office to River Forest, Illinois.
Dr. Alder continues to serve on the medical staff and is an assistant professor at Rush. He offers routine dental care in his office in River Forest and dental care for those that require hospitalization at Rush University Medical Center and the Rush Surgicenter.
Dr. Alder is active in many dental organizations and has served as director of the Chicago Dental Society and as trustee of the Illinois State Dental Society. He serves on several committees and is actively involved with continuing education. Dr. Alder holds fellowship status of the American Academy of General Dentistry and is a diplomat of the American Academy of Pain Management.
Irene Skirius, DDS
Irene Skirius, DDS, is a highly skilled dentist at Global Facial Aesthetics, serving patients in River Forest, Illinois. She is proud to provide comprehensive dental care to people of all ages.
Dr. Skirius is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago and completed her specialty training in pediatric dentistry there as well. She has devoted her career to caring for the dental needs of children and adolescents. Dr. Skirius previously worked with Dr. Alder at Rush University Medical Center and is excited to accompany him to Global Facial Aesthetics.
To better serve a diverse population, Dr. Skirius is fluent in Lithuanian, Spanish, and English. She will be a great asset to Global Facial Aesthetics and the River Forest community.
